October 25 is a difficult day. It is the day my son William Jay Keys died. Billy Jay was only 23 when he died on October 25, 2003. It was the worst day of my life. Every year I try to take a little vacation and be near some water because his ashes were placed in a lake that he loved. I just could not get away this year so the dogs and I took a long morning walk-about and sat near the Caribbean Sea for a while. So here are some pictures of Teli, Buena and me on our little morning walk. Of course, the dogs had to smell everything they came across. We sat and relaxed, watching the beautiful blue water of the Caribbean Sea. I gave the dogs some treats as we sat. This is the route we walked. Almost 5 miles. It was a good walk. This is a picture of Billy Jay. 14 years now he has been gone. It still hurts like it just happened. Sometimes I think of him and laugh and remember all the good times. Other times a lump sticks in my throat and I find it difficult to breathe it hurts so badly. I love you Billy Jay and miss you. Some of the crazy stuff we see in the mornings in the city. This woman, completely naked, was walking along the highway in front of us this morning. She is often seen in the streets in the area. // (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); //I have seen Crazy Naked Lady before in the Colonial Zone as have many others. I have seen her sleeping naked at Fortaleza San Jose near the basketball court with a palm branch on top of her. She also sleeps under the Skateboard ramp in the same park. Others say she sleeps in Gazcue from time to time. She is usually spotted just walking along with her nasty nakedness exposed for all to see. // (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); //Today she was picking up boxes and pieces of cardboard and tearing them up into small pieces. She was really angry with the boxes as we rushed past her (we rushed because I didn’t want her attacking us like she was attacking those poor pieces of cardboard). She was saying angry words that I didn’t understand directed at the boxes she was tearing into angrily. // (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); //The dogs and I got away fast and crossed the bridge. Interesting thing was that no one really seemed to notice her or pay attention to her. It was just another thing that happens in the street sometimes. She is a normal, abnormal, fixture in the area. // (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); //Originally from Life and Times of the Dominican Gringa http://colonialzone-dr.com/dr_gringa_blog/2017/10/22/crazy-naked-lady/ |
